Lyrics
Last thing I remember was the arrow in my chest
The desert sky was sheeted by clouds and dry cactus
The tribe looked so indifferent to the soldiers at their feet
Silhouetted by burnt teepees, butchered livestock in the stream
Last thing I remember was the fading of my sight
The twilight winds were blowing as the moon rose in the night
Ashes shook my senses, scent of roasted human flesh
I saw them gallop on their horses off into the great sunset, toward the great sunset
Last thing I remember was shivering from loss of blood
stranded in the wildlike some lost desertred dog
Prayed for my salvation alone aside the rocks
I heard the roaring sound of thunder as it erased the mountaintops
....Turned my head and rolled my eyes, ejected an exhausted sigh and I clutched the sod beneath, curled my swolen feet...
Last thing I remember were the stars above my head
I heard the howling of coyotes, felt rattlesnakes beside my neck
Saw my life before me, mistakes that I had made
I heard the owls chant above me and felt the reaper take each step
...Turned my head and rolled my eyes, smiled before my final sigh and I reached out for death's door, my corpse behind on the floor
Crickets chirped my final rights, coyotes howled into the night and I suffered for no more, the reaper closed my door....
Last thing I remember somebody said that I would pay
Entombed in glass psychosis...at the bottom of my grave
